I have a lot of respect and admiration for the work the Daughters of Abraham interfaith book club has been doing since 2001. I decided to start a Daughters of Abraham club in my area and I was impressed with the help and support I received from the daughters since I started. Our group, The Daughters of Abraham of Central Mass, includes members from the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faiths. It will celebrate its first birthday this summer. We are committed to fight xenophobia, bigotry and any kind of racism or violence with knowledge. It is by learning about our culture and religion and the others cultures and religions that we learn to accept each other and coexist through knowledge. Every day is one more day in the battle against ignorance. For more information please contact: daughtersofabrhamcentralmass@gmail.com

Daughters of Abraham
The Daughters of Abraham Women’s Interfaith Book Group was created in response to the events of September 11, 2001 by and for women of the three Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. We read books that deal with our religions and the practice and experience of living as a religious person. Books can be of various genres: biography, fiction, memoirs, history, poetry, etc. They help us to talk about faith experiences. We learn about one another’s religions. By so doing we come to know one another as members of a unique community of friends.
